Beyond Borders: A Night of Feminist Resistance

Join us for an evening of feminist resistance to mark International Women’s Day in Ottawa - with a community dinner, great speakers & performers! We have much to learn from each other - we will build a movement beyond borders.

Dinner is free/pay-what-you-can // Childcare will be provided

Please RSVP here:

or by emailing Brittany Neron at brittany@sexualhealthandrights.ca

There will be space for organizations to table - please let us know if you'd like to reserve space.

Despite exclusion and erasure, our struggles as Indigenous, racialized, Muslim, and migrant women, as working and poor women, as disabled women, as queer, gender non-conforming, and trans women, have long militant histories that continue to shape and define the global feminist movement.

We will continue to challenge and resist the use of colonial borders to deny our humanity. We refuse to accept poverty wages and precarity, sexual violence and harassment, criminalization of our bodies and identities, or discrimination based on race, religion, ethnic origin, gender expression and identity, sexuality, and disability.

In these times of intensified attacks on our communities, we are being challenged to respond with greater solidarity and greater strength and we are up to the task!
