Call Me By Your Name (2017 Ottawa LGBT Film Festival)

Call Me By Your Name
2017 Ottawa LGBT Film Festival | National Gallery of Canada
Sunday, November 12 | 8:45pm | #InsideOut17

Italian auteur Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love) brilliantly adapts André Aciman's novel of a boy's sexual awakening into a story about passionate first love set over one magical summer in 1983.

When hunky 24-year-old Oliver (Armie Hammer) shows up as the professor's doctoral summer student, Elio, the professor's 17-year-old son (Timothée Chalamet), slowly warms to him, unleashing an attraction both sweet and forbidden. A mutual courtship at first awkward, grows into a summer romance both beautiful and delicate.

With a script by James Ivory (Maurice), Call Me By Your Name is an instant gay classic.
