Please join the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity on Wednesday, April 12th, 2017, to celebrate the Day of Pink Gala in Ottawa.
The Gala is a fabulous event featuring a reception and an award ceremony. At the award ceremony, we will give Awards to leaders from across Canada who have gone above and beyond in the fight against bullying and discrimination.
This year's award winners are
Lori Jean Hodge
This year's event is proud to pay tribute to queer & trans women featuring performances from a special curated group of local artists and performers.
The gala is a FREE EVENT. Our goal with the Gala is not to raise money, but to build community and celebrate the success of CCGSD over the past year. There will be hors d’oeuvres provided free of charge, and beverages will be available through a cash bar. We will also have a raffle and silent auction to help raise funds for the gala. Our VIPink guests will be provided free beverages throughout the night, priority seating during the award ceremony, and will have their name added to the VIPink exclusive raffle.
The CCGSD is always focused on our work in schools. As such, we are proud to announce that this event is a zero-budget event, with any profits made funneled directly into our programming across Canada.
We acknowledge that this event is being held on the traditional territiories of the Algonquin peoples.
This event is fully accessible and bilingual.
Recommended dresscode: Fabulous pink
