On The Frontlines:
Resourcing the GBV Movement &
Capacity Strengthening
On the frontlines is a learning space for folks engaged in ending gender-based violence in their communities. It is a space for learning and sharing wisdom. Learning is always lateral, and community-based, the facilitator is part of that learning journey sharing their experiences and journeys to advance how we make the advancement of gender-based violence rooted in systems of liberation, equity and care.
Our Approach to Learning and Resource Sharing: At "On the Frontlines," we believe that learning is a collaborative journey. Our approach is lateral, emphasizing community-based education where every participant plays a vital role. Our facilitators are not just instructors; they're fellow learners who share their experiences and insights to advance our collective understanding. Together, we strive to root our efforts in systems of liberation, equity, and care.
Who Can Participate: This learning space is open to all members of OCTEVAW. Whether you're a frontline worker, advocate, activist, community organizer, or public educator, your presence and contributions are valued. We use a broad definition of frontline worker because we recognize the different ways that folks may define themselves as frontline workers. This list is not exhaustive: advocates, activists, public educators, transitional housing coordinators, trauma therapists, somatic practitioners, harm reduction workers, and more.
What You'll Experience:
Engaging Workshops: Dive into interactive workshops designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in addressing gender-based violence.
Thought-Provoking Discussions: Participate in thought-provoking discussions where we explore innovative approaches to combatting gender-based violence.
Community Support: Connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for creating positive change within our communities.
Resources and Tools: Gain access to valuable resources and tools to support your efforts in ending gender-based violence.
All sessions will be held online, and spaces are limited.
