This project was initiated by the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women (OCTEVAW) and completed between September 2022 and March 2023. It is the first high-level, systematic study of the GBV sector, and the organizations that interact with it, in Ottawa.

A collaborative report on how to approach day to day life in Ottawa through a gender equality lens. Produced in partnership with the City of Ottawa, the City for all Women Initiative (CAWI), the University of Ottawa, the Ottawa Women’s Training and Employment Network, Women’s Initiative for Safer Environments (WISE), The Well, the Social Planning Council of Ottawa, the Western Ottawa Resource Centre, and the Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women.
This report was funded by United Way Ottawa, Status of Women Canada, PSAC Regional Women’s Committee, and the Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres.
